Hi Jack, I’m Mickael, the french guy crossing the continent by hitchhiking, we met us in the end of november in Puerta Vallarta. I will arrive soon in Panama and I will find a boat to reach Cartagena. I would like to know if you have any contacts that could help me, somebody that you know going over there, or somebody who could have informationz or everything which can help ?
Thanks a lot for you help,
Safe travels !
Mickael
Bonjour Mickael, Most of the boats that sail to Cartagena come from the east side of the Caribbean because the trade wind blows from the East, so it is a difficult sail from Panama. I had intended to do this at first and decided to go north first. It can be done by slowly following the coast line from Colon. I suggest that you visit the Shelter Bay YC in Cristobal and put your details on their bulletin board. You can do the same on the Pacific side in the Flamengo YC, the Balboa YC does not have much of a contact point. You can probably also find some spots on boats either way as a line handler and be paid for it and spread the word. Bon chance!
Just published the “first truly

Hello Steve, I travel light on a sailboat and prefer reading e-books. I shall look for the kindle. Nice website. I will share this with my Google group “Vietnam Old Hacks”
